Freddie Gibbs with the L.A. Leakers

I first caught Freddie Gibbs at a show at The Roxy on Sunset with Shawn Chrystopher, Big Sean, and Mike Posner. On some truthful shit, he scared the fuck outta me! LOL He was up on stage with his "entourage". They were pulling up a drunk skeezy on stage, they were straight smoking a joint, and Gibbs was saying each word of his songs with so much passion... either that or he was that high hahaha. BUT as you can see from the freestyle he spit on The Takeover with the L.A. Leakers, this playa spits FIYAAAHH!!! Born and raised in Gary, Indiana, he faced MANY struggles. He got into college, but was then kicked out. He joined the military, then got discharged. After other failed attempts at holding down jobs, he turned to pimping and selling drugs. Through that, he was always rapping and started making mixtapes. He would push his mixtapes online and on the streets. His music is all about what he experienced growing up. He has since worked with producers such as Just Blaze and the Alchemist, just to name a few. He now works with DJ Skee.
