Sorry..

Sorry we haven't been updating lately more than we should have, but finals and the Holidays consumed us. But we will be back on it as soon as it all calms down... But since we're on the subject of Holidays, DixAndChix would like to wish you all a Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays! Have a blessed one! :)

Throwback Thursday (part 2)

Throwback Thursday

A "music video" I found of my favorite Christmas movie! At :33, I can't help but crack up every time I watch that scene.. And I can't help but do Kevin's string dance maneuver every time I hear Brenda Lee's "Rockin Around The Christmas Tree". lol

U-N-I x Blu x Pac Div x TiRon x J*Davey x Ayomari in the studio

I had mentioned what might be one of the most insane tracks to ever happen earlier this month. Yesterday, Thurzday posted a little twitvid teaser of what's happening. I honestly can't wait for this to come out.

FAIL! Girl's Hair Catches Fire Live on Diddy's UStream

This happened at Diddy/Dirty Money's album release party live on UStream. LMFAO LMFAO! and LMFAO at Kevin Hart's reaction. hahaha! That's what you get for trying to be sexy in a hot tub and having your hair near a candle. Luckily she was in a hot tub so she could dunk her head in water. lol

Mando Fresko - Some Holiday Ish Mixtape

I was excited for this mixtape... then I heard it and was a little disappointed. I thought it was gonna be a mixtape of ALL Christmas songs, not songs out right now and just 4 Christmas songs. I usually like his mixtapes (you can check them out here), but this one was a flop for me. On the up side, I love the artwork for the mixtape lol.

Just.N.Credible - F*ck With The Lights On Mixtape

[[Sorry for the delayed updates. Finals took over our lives, so cut us some slack.]]

A few days ago, Just-N-Credible released this mixtape for you people who like to get freaky lol. My thoughts on this mixtape? I give it a 6.5/7 out of 10. Here are my reasons:
- The songs he chose were good, but I felt like there was one too many Drake song on here (love Drake, but still). When it comes to setting the mood, Robin Thicke's voice > Drake's voice. More Robin Thicke would have been WAY better.
- There were a couple questionable songs on here I don't understand why he selected it (i.e. Trey Songz "Black Roses".. Really??)
- I didn't really get the vibe of wanting to "f*ck with the lights on".

Overall, I'd listen to this mixtape again for the hell of it because it was a good mixtape and I liked a lot the songs he chose, but it wasn't a "I want to be with you with this playing" mixtape. But you don't have to take my word for it. Take a listen and judge for yourself.

((P.S: "Cry For You" took me back to MMC when Justin Timberlake, J.C. Chasez, Ryan Gosling, and Dale Godboldo sang this. lmao!))

Pirates Of The Caribbean: On Stranger Tides

It was only obvious the way the last Pirates movie ended that there was going to be another installment - even though I was really sad that Will and Elizabeth didn't end up together, but not all endings are happy... even Disney movies :/. Orlando Bloom and Keira Knightly decided to not join this project, so they will be replaced by Penelope Cruz (she's a beautiful woman, but a lot of the times I can't understand what she says). Anywhooo, below is the first official trailer to the movie. I was iffy about it before I watched the trailer, but now I'm actually kind of excited for it come out.

ALSO, apparently there's going to be a 5th and 6th installment to the Pirates franchise. Johnny Depp's my boo and all, but I don't know if I can handle a 5th and 6th one.. but I may be biting my tongue if the trailer changes my mind like this one did.

Yonas - "I Could" [Video]

"I shut down my eyes and now my soul is what I peek through. 'Cuz God whisper to me, 'Yo, these struggles gon' prepare you'..."

A few days ago I posted the trailer to this and now the full video is out. Directed by Nat Prinzi (betterdaysproductions.com), the video goes perfectly to the message of the song: for anybody that was told they couldn't, show them that you could. And just like that, Yonas proves in the video and song, that if you put your heart into it, you could. I may be jumping on this Yonas bandwagon, but I don't care; I've been impressed by everything I've heard from him thus far. Check out his website to download his singles and FREE album.
