cARTer - Going Hollywood
I'm not sure if this was the same project the L.A. Leakers were talking about back in January this year, but whatever, it's FINALLY here. I'm not cARTer's biggest fan, maybe 'cuz sometimes he just scares the fcuk outta me when I catch him out at events in L.A. =X Quite intimidating haha ANYWAYS, it's been a while since I've heard something new from cARTer, so here's some new sh!t of his to listen to. I'm def appreciating what this guy put out. It took a while for this project to come out, but it seems as if he made sure he tried to perfect what he could and by listening, you can tell. Dope artwork by conarts.com, if i do say so myself (and not just cuz pink's my fave color). cARTer worked with the L.A. Leakers and DJ Skee to get this project together. Download Going Hollywood and get familiarrrr!!!

Grenade - Bruno Mars [Video]
I don't know if I'd catch a grenade for Bruno Mars, but I definitely wouldn't treat him like sh*t if he were mine. lol
Jay-Z - Decoded Mixtape
This isn't an official mixtape coming from Jay-Z himself, but more like a companion piece to go along with Jay-Z's book, Decoded, that came out not too long ago. This tape consists of songs such as: Blue Magic, Big Pimpin', Minority Report, just to name a few. Regardless, this is a pretty dope mix to have.

I have to say, I HATE the picture they chose for him. I've seen better pictures of him with that million dollar smile of his...
But I have to say, James Franco's cover is kinda sexy :D just saying...

Yonas - Nobody Else
"...I know it's gettin' hard the type of shit that make you not even believe in God. But listen to my words, hopefully I change the odds 'cuz the true meaning of faith is believing in your cause..."
This is barely the second song I've heard from this guy and I'm hooked. I did a post about him earlier this month because I was impressed with what he was saying in that song, and now with this song, he just gained a new supporter. This guy is someone you DEFINITELY shouldn't sleep on (I should listen to my own advice. lol).

"Hip Hop Fans Are More Likely To Cheat"...?
(source: theboombox)
"With dating sites growing in popularity across the
globe, there's new research about how tastes correspond with how people act in
relationships. Recently, a U.K. dating site for extramarital affairs did a
survey of 460,000 spouses that are currently looking for something a little
extra online and found that hip-hop fans are more likely to cheat on significant
others compared to fans of other genres such as rock, pop, classical, soul,
R&B, electronica and more. The reason? Well, the site, IllicitEncounters.com, claims that
hip-hop fans are more comfortable with strong sexual content and are therefore
more relaxed and accepting of their own sexuality. A site spokesperson, Sara
Hartley, claims that research shows that a significant number of married people
weigh the prospect of cheating at one point or another, but those that are more
used to rampant sexuality have an easier time actually going through with
it.
'As a genre, hip-hop has always delivered the most explicit lyrical
content when it comes to sex, and listeners who aren't as comfortable
recognizing their own desires may find a lot of the content embarrassing or
objectionable,' theorized Hartley. 'It makes total sense to us why hip-hop would
top the playlists of our members.'"
What ever happened to just liking the same kind of music and not having it to relate to a person's fidelity or infidelity? Personally, I think this "study" is all bull. There's not enough evidence to show that people who listen to hip hop are more than likely to cheat.
What do you think? Does listening to music reflect a person's commitment to a relationship?
Adele - Rolling In The Deep [Video]
"The scars of your love remind me of us.They keep me thinking that we almost had it all..."This is Adele's single off her new album, 21, coming out early next year... Three words: TA.LEN.TED haha
Lauryn Hill x The Roots - Is This Love? [Video]
Lauryn Hill's still got it. Her outfits and make-up might be questionable, but there's no doubt that she still has the voice to blow our minds.
Snoop Dogg - New Year's Eve [Video]
Directed by Dylan "Pook" Brown
This song's off his upcoming album Doggumentary Music: 0020. It features Marty James.
Sidenote: I like the fact that he used his real lady for this video.
Sidenote 2: This Marty guy can sing, but is it me or does he look like those nerds who try real hard to be cool like Anthony Michael Hall in Sixteen Candles? Just saying...
Sidenote 3 (from Camille): And i love the fact they used Kress nightclub :) That club is one of my L.A. favorites. (Anyone correct me if I'm wrong on what club they used.)

Bubble Gum One Year Anniversary
Wiz Khalifa Arrested on Drug Charges
[I really wish they released his mugshot. For some reason I can see him smiling that cheesy smile he does sometimes. haha]
"Wiz Khalifa was arrested on Monday night in Greenville, North Carolina, on drug
charges after authorities allegedly smelled marijuana smoke coming from his tour
bus.
...Khalifa, who is very vocal about his marijuana use, was stopped by ECU police officers as he left the venue. 'He was on his way with his band to his bus parked outside, and they stopped him because of a strong odor of marijuana emanating from the bus and the backstage area of the
auditorium,' Durham said.
'They asked if he would cooperate with officers, and he agreed, and they went on his bus, and then he and nine members of his entourage were arrested...' Durham said. Police are alleged to have seized more than 60 grams of pot during the bust, or the equivalent of about 2 ounces.
On Tuesday morning (November 9)... Khalifa (born Cameron Thomaz) was booked into the jail at around 1:30 a.m. He posted $300,000 bail and was released from detention at around 8 a.m. ET, along with one other unnamed member of his entourage. He was charged with a felony count of trafficking in marijuana, a felony count of maintaining a dwelling/vehicle/place for sale or storage of marijuana and one misdemeanor charge of possession of drug paraphernalia.
Keith Stroup, legal council at the marijuana legalization advocacy group NORML said it's more
than likely that Khalifa's lawyers will make a plea agreement in which the rapper — who boasted in a recent interview about a $10,000-a-month weed habit and launched his own brand of rolling papers last month — will agree to possession of marijuana for personal use.
It was unclear at press time if police had found any such evidence of intent to distribute.
Stroup said that in North Carolina, possession of more than 1 1/2 ounces of marijuana is a felony
punishable by up to 12 months in jail, but that it is unlikely that prosecutors would pursue a trial and they would likely opt for a plea deal instead.
A spokesperson for Khalifa could not be reached for comment at press time."
He even tweeted about his arrest earlier today with "waken...baken...wrist still achin. thnx for tha love and support", "man, jail sux! but bein taylor'd doesn't", and "finna get tha rest of these fools out and grab sum grub" lol. I don't think Wiz has any shame haha.
You think this arrest would make him stop smoking that kush? I HIGHLY doubt it. Maybe next time, though, he and his entourage will be a little more cautious.
P.S. Wiz, don't smoke on campus grounds when YOU KNOW there are cops trying to bust students for smoking out also. Just saying...

some of you fellas need to take some advice from Ryan Leslie ;]
i don't know how late i am on this video or if it's the OFFICIAL video but here's one of my favorite songs from the album Transition by one of my favorite artist, EVER!
i think Ryan doesn't get the credit he truly deserves. i remember mikee showin' me some youtube videos he came out with at the beginning of his career. i was fixated on the screen with every video mainly because the energy he has & the passion for music is CRAZY!
& it also doesn't hurt that he's a genius, word is he graduated from Harvard at 19!
i'm tellin' you fellas, TAKE NOTES!
Wiz Khalifa & Chris Brown - Black And Yellow [Live]
The audio to this video is EXTREMELY muffled up until the end and I think Wiz needs to pull up his camo cargos, but that's just my opinion. My sis, Camille, might beg to differ : haha Anyway, here's footage of Chris Brown jumping on stage during Wiz Khalifa's show in Houston for "Black and Yellow".

J. Cole - I'm Coming Home
A new track from J. Cole. Even though he KNOWS he can't sing for the life of him, it's still cute to hear him sing a little on a track. This song could possibly help him reach more radios, which is the goal for a lot of these artists. He still proving why he made it on XXL's freshmen for 2010
