I came across this while procrastinating and LMAO!! This was one hell of a cover. You wouldn't expect this band (Karmin) to give Chris Brown's single a new kind of "je ne sai quoi" flavor to it. But they did. They delivered. And homegirl has a really nice voice.. If you head over to their page, you can view other videos of them covering songs like "I Need A Doctor" by Eminem, "Just The Way You Are" by Bruno Mars, "What's My Name" by Drake (yes, I said Drake b/c I refuse to taint this blog with her name) or "Set Fire To The Rain" by Adele. I have to say I think this Deuces remix > Christian Dior Denim Flow. My opinion. My favorite bars have got to come from Ye... OR Andre 3000. A total toss up between the two for me. The other fellas on the track DID hold their own. Def feelin' this remix!

Chris Brown on BET Awards 2010

Chris Brown's performance was the talk of last night's BET Awards... and possibly Trey Songz's mom, but that's a different story. Everyone was tweeting, facebooking, etc. about how he cried and couldn't get through performing the rest of the Michael Jackson tribute. I didn't get to watch it live, but I caught it on worldstarhiphop.com. Here's my take on his sudden release of emotions.

My sister and I believe that it was a sincere cry. I mean, come on, he did an ugly cry. Anyway, we don't think he's crying because of his woman beating, but because he felt people were finally accepting him again. Last year he was supposed perform for the MJ tribute, but no one wanted him *or more like Jay-Z threatened BET to not let him be a part of it* so I guess this is why he got so emotional. Personally, I also think he cried because he finally was given a chance to pay tribute to his idol. We can all say he's been forever tainted with that scandal, but you can't deny his talent.

We all know Chris Brown is forever branded "the woman beater", but you can't let that affect your thought about how talented this guy really is. And with Tyga, well Tyga's one of the few I only really like from Young Money, but he needs to work on his grammar. Someone please tell him it's ValentiNe, not valentiMe. lol

This mixtape dropped a few days ago and since then i've been giving it a listen. I thought it was just gonna be all rap, hearing a different side of Chris Brown... but it really isn't. He still holds down the r&b feel, while Tyga holds down the rap/hip-hop side. I happen to like this mixtape, it's like two different worlds combined... kinda. But you will hear Chris Brown doin' a couple bars, which surprised me cuz he was pretty good =X haha
