Heels vs. Flats: Men Don't Notice... apparently

"Teeter-totter all you want, but men apparently don't notice when a woman wears
high heels,
Time magazine reports. Researchers at the UK's Northumbria
University studied men's reactions to women in heels versus women in flats and
found no difference. Time writes, "The researchers wanted to know whether the
changed posture that comes with high heels -- longer legs, accentuated rear and
tilted torso -- get noticed by men." Guess not!
Orange News has quotes from Dr. Nick Neave who led the study
as part of a larger project about attraction and movement. Neave said, "Women
are spending money on high heels, which can be dangerous, presumably to make
themselves look good and add to what nature has given them," adding, "Everybody
is attracted to somebody else and making relationships is very important to
humans. Making key relationships and having children are some of the most
important decisions people will make. But scientifically we know very little
about this."
According to the Daily Mail, Neave believes that movements
like dancing can serve as indications of a male's "reproductive quality."
I find this article completely stupid because I'm sure I can find at LEAST 5 guys who think a woman in heels is a lot more attractive than a woman wearing flats. I'm not one who loves to wear heels, but seriously?!?! Is there anyone who agrees with the article because I'm still a little baffled by it.

  1. *shrug* Personally I'm a fan of women in flats over heels. Yes a tasteful pair of dress heels on a woman (as opposed to say platforms or something that ruins the look) is attractive on a woman, but there's something about Ballet slippers, Ballet flats or flats period on a woman hugging a beautiful pair of feet that is so much more attractive. And no I'm not a foot fetishist, I like the smooth lines of the female form period and anything that accents what's already there instead of trying to make something that's not is what's sexy.

Just to add to my point, http://www.flickr.com/photos/25946118@N04/2436066533/in/photostream/ <- who needs a woman to wear heels when none of them would make her sexier than a pair of flats like that? Heels in the same situation would just draw attention to themselves while the flats draw you to her legs instead.

Maybe I'm just a strange guy, but I'd rather be looking at a woman wearing something that shows off what she has, than a woman showing off what she's wearing.
