We mentioned last month that Fat Beats in LA & NY were closing (NY already closed down). So "to mark the end of an era, come celebrate the last days of Fat Beats during Hip-Hop's Last Retail Jam - 7600 Melrose Ave." Come out during the days mentioned above to celebrate and watch a few artists make their last appearance in Fat Beats before it's closed.

Fat Beats in LA & NYC closing
Source: boombox & thecafeterialine
Sad to say Fat Beats in LA & NYC are closing soon (NYC on Sept. 4 & LA on Sept. 18). Popular for holding in-store performances and meet and greets, an era for the hip hop world is coming to an end.

"Yet another legendary music retailer is preparing to shut its doors. Hip-hop
vinyl retailer/distributor Fat Beats announced the closing of its last two
retail stores in New York and Los Angeles today, shutting doors on a hip-hop
institution that championed independent music and culture for more than 16
years."
